Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated August 27, 2026

What you can't publish or do on inbl.link, how to report something, and what happens when a rule is broken. This policy forms part of the Terms of Service.

The short version. Publish your own music, be honest about what you're offering, and don't use the platform to harm anyone. Report problems using the report form.

1. Content you must not publish

This covers everything you upload or write — audio, images, backgrounds, bio text, link labels, gate copy, and usernames.

  • Anything you don't have the rights to. Music, artwork, samples, or video belonging to someone else, uncleared. See the Copyright Policy.
  • Child sexual abuse material. Reported to the authorities and the account terminated, without exception or warning.
  • Sexual content involving anyone who hasn't consented, including intimate images shared without permission.
  • Content that incites violence or hatred against people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
  • Content promoting terrorism or violent extremism.
  • Harassment — targeting a specific person with abuse, threats, or the publication of their private information.
  • Impersonation. Presenting yourself as another artist, label, or organisation in a way designed to mislead. Parody and fan pages are fine when they're obviously not the real thing.
  • Malware or hostile files. Executables, scripts, or archives containing anything designed to damage a device or steal information.
  • Content that's illegal where you or your audience are, including the sale of controlled goods, fraud, and counterfeits.
  • Adult content as a page theme. inbl.link is a music tool with public creator pages and no age gating. Explicit lyrics are fine; pornographic imagery is not.

2. Rules specific to download gates

Gates ask people to do something in exchange for a file. That only works if it's honest.

  • Deliver what you advertise. The file must be what the gate says it is. No bait-and-switch, no empty archives, no "free sample pack" that turns out to be a promo link.
  • Don't misuse the email step. The address is for what you told the fan you'd use it for. Don't sell it, don't hand it to a third party, don't add people to unrelated lists. Marketing permission must be a separate, unticked box that doesn't block the download.
  • Don't game SoundCloud. Follow, like, repost and comment steps must comply with SoundCloud's terms. Don't operate gates as an engagement farm or a follow-exchange scheme.
  • Don't ask for more than you need. Don't use gate copy to solicit passwords, payment details, government ID, or anything else the product doesn't ask for.
  • Don't gate someone else's work. Distributing another artist's stems, samples, or tracks through your gate without permission is the fastest way to lose an account.

3. Conduct

  • Don't try to break, probe, or bypass the security of the service.
  • Don't scrape, crawl, or bulk-download creator pages, and don't automate access to our API outside normal use of the product.
  • Don't deliberately overload the service, or use it as general file hosting or a CDN for something unrelated to your music.
  • Don't create accounts to evade a suspension, or register usernames purely to squat on them.
  • Don't resell or sublicense access to inbl.link.
  • Don't manipulate analytics with artificial traffic to inflate your own numbers or distort someone else's.

Security research is welcome. If you find a vulnerability, tell us at [email protected] before disclosing it, don't access data that isn't yours, and we won't come after you.

4. Reporting a problem

Use the report form, or email [email protected] with "Report" in the subject. Tell us the URL, what's wrong, and anything that helps us verify it. You can report anonymously, though it's harder for us to follow up.

Copyright complaints have their own process with specific legal requirements — use the Copyright Policy instead.

We aim to acknowledge reports within two business days and resolve them within five. Content that is illegal or poses a risk to someone's safety is handled immediately.

5. What happens when a rule is broken

What we do depends on how serious it is and whether it's happened before:

  • A warning, with a chance to fix it, for minor or first-time issues.
  • Removing or hiding the specific content, leaving the rest of the account alone.
  • Disabling a feature, such as gates or uploads, while things are sorted out.
  • Suspending the account temporarily.
  • Terminating the account for serious or repeated breaches.

We'll tell you what we did and why, unless the law prevents us or telling you would put someone at risk. Illegal content, sexual content involving minors, and active abuse get immediate action with no warning.

6. Appealing a decision

If we removed your content or restricted your account and you think we got it wrong, reply to the notice we sent, or email us with "Appeal" in the subject. Tell us what was removed and why you think the decision was mistaken.

We'll look at it again properly — not just re-run the same automated check — and give you a reasoned answer within 14 days. If we were wrong, we'll restore the content and clear any strike associated with it.

7. Changes

We'll update this policy as the product grows and as we learn what actually goes wrong. Material changes will be announced before they take effect.
