Notice for Fans

Last updated August 27, 2026

You landed on a download page and it asked for your email or your SoundCloud account. Here's exactly what happens to that, in plain language.

The short version. Your email goes to the artist whose download you unlocked — not to us, and not to anyone else. We don't email you. We don't sell it. The artist can only add you to a mailing list if you ticked the box that says so, and the download works whether you tick it or not.

Who runs this site

inbl.link is a tool made by Logiciels Inbloom, a small business in Quebec, Canada. Artists use it to build a page and share their music. We're not the artist — we're the software underneath.

If you just browse

Nothing identifying is collected. We count page views and clicks with our own analytics rather than an outside company's. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't follow you to other websites, and doesn't store anything that points back to you. The artist sees numbers — "412 views, 30 from Germany" — never individual people.

If you unlock a download

Depending on what the artist set up, you might be asked for an email address, a SoundCloud connection, or both. Here's what each one means.

Your email address

  • It's stored and shown to that one artist, in their audience list.
  • Other artists on inbl.link never see it.
  • We never email you and we never sell or share it.
  • The artist can only send you marketing if you ticked the optional consent box. If you didn't, they shouldn't email you — and if they do anyway, tell us and we'll act on it.

Your SoundCloud connection

  • SoundCloud asks you to approve the connection on their own site. We only ever see what you approve.
  • We then do exactly the actions the page listed — follow, like, repost, or post a comment you wrote — and nothing else.
  • We keep your SoundCloud user ID and public handle so the artist knows who unlocked. We delete the access key straight after the actions run, so we can't go back and do anything later.
  • You can revoke the connection any time in your SoundCloud settings, under connected applications.

The cookie

We store a small token in your browser so the same download doesn't make you repeat the steps. It lasts 7 days and contains a random string, not your email.

What we don't collect

  • Your name, address, phone number, or age.
  • Any payment information. Downloads through gates are free.
  • Your IP address as part of the unlock record.
  • Anything at all if you decide not to unlock.

Getting your data removed

The artist controls the information you gave them, so the quickest route is to ask them directly. If you can't reach them, or you'd rather not, email us at [email protected] with the address you used and, if you know it, which artist or download it was. We'll find the record, pass the request to the artist, and make sure it's dealt with. We'll get back to you within 30 days.

You can also ask us for a copy of what's held about you, or to correct it. There's no charge for any of this.

Where things are stored

Our servers and file storage are run by providers outside Canada, including in the United States. More detail, including the full list of providers, is in the Privacy Policy.

If something's wrong with a page

If a download isn't what it claimed to be, uses music that isn't the artist's, or the page is abusive, tell us using the report form. You don't need an account, and you don't have to leave your email. Copyright owners should use the Copyright Policy.

Age

inbl.link isn't meant for anyone under 13. If you're a parent and your child gave us an email address through a download page, email us and we'll delete it.

The longer version

This page is a plain-language summary. The complete detail is in the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy. Where they're more specific, they govern.

These policies are operated by Logiciels Inbloom, a sole proprietorship registered in Quebec, Canada, which also operates inbloomsound.com. Questions about anything on this page: [email protected].
